Full Biography
Santiago Arroyo, known professionally as “GoG” or GoG Drummer, is a Spanish professional drummer born in Madrid in 1980. He is not affiliated with the video game platform GOG.com.
His musical journey began at the age of 14, when he first picked up drumsticks and started playing in various Metal and Rock groups across Madrid. Self-taught from the start, Santiago also pursued formal studies in music theory and solfeggio to complement his technical development.
In 1998 he joined Inania Regna, his first serious professional project, gaining extensive live experience performing alongside international acts. Through the early 2000s he worked as a live session drummer for a variety of bands and orchestras at national level, building a reputation for professionalism, adaptability, and power.
Today, Santiago is active in his founding project BURIALITY (death metal) and serves as session drummer for UNDEAD (death metal, live). From 2022 to October 2025 he was the drummer of HOLYCIDE (thrash metal), recording the albums «Bazookiller» (2023) and «Towards Idiocracy» (2024). From 2023 to October 2025 he was also the drummer of AVULSED — one of Spain’s most internationally recognized death metal acts, active since 1991 — recording «Phoenix Cryptobiosis» (2025) and touring across Europe. He has recorded and released over a dozen albums, EPs, and singles across these projects since 2018.
On the live front, Santiago has performed at some of Europe’s biggest extreme metal festivals, including Brutal Assault (Czech Republic), Alcatraz (Belgium), Party.San (Germany), SWR Barroselas (Portugal), Frantic Fest (Italy), Zobens Un Lemess (Latvia), and Mennecy Metal Fest (France), among many others. He has also previously appeared at legendary events such as 70,000 Tons of Metal and Obscene Extreme.
In 2023, Santiago became an official endorser of MAPEX DRUMS. In 2025, he joined as brand ambassador for both UFIP Cymbals and BALBEX STICKS.
Beyond live performance, Santiago offers professional studio drum recording and MIDI drum editing services, delivering fully humanized drum tracks for productions worldwide.
